Behind the Movement

Christina Renee founded Infidelity Hurts Awareness Day during a time when she felt defeated and she didn’t feel heard.  She was married to a minister and experienced betrayal not only by her spouse but by the church as well as family and friends.   Marriage counseling failed her and during the court battle she felt as though there were so many injustices as it related to infidelity, child custody, and divorce.   Christina was left to suffer in silence and the unspeakable grief was the catalyst of her demise.  Infidelity Hurts is a testament of the betrayed; a story that is rarely told.  As a result, she naively, yet boldly stepped out on faith and a movement was born.

Infidelity Hurts Awareness Day is a social change movement with the mission to bring awareness to the emotional, physical, and psychological consequences experienced by individuals, children, families, and communities and to offer encouragement and support to those who might suffer in silence as they rebuild their lives and relationships.

Christina Renee's big vision is to eradicate promoting infidelity as notable and acceptable behavior.  She hopes that one day, we can live in a world that acknowledges that infidelity truly hurts and create a safe space where grief and healing from the trauma of betrayal is normalized.  She is often mocked, criticized, and ridiculed for her life passion to fight for what is considered by so many a worthless cause; however, Christina states, “I will continue to show up and be the voice for the voiceless, I will continue to speak up, and speak out against Infidelity. If I can change the life for at least one person, then my living is not in vain.
